OUR IMPACT
Opportunity, one next chapter at a time.
Through the Harvey Simon Memorial Scholarship, we support students who have experienced cancer as they pursue higher education and move toward their goals.
Where our scholars have studied
The Simon Cancer Foundation has awarded scholarships to students enrolled at 70 colleges and universities across the country. The schools below reflect our scholarship recipients’ educational journeys.

The Harvey Simon Memorial Scholarship
The foundation has awarded one-time educational scholarships to students who have experienced cancer. Our updated 2027–2028 application is designed to recognize applicants’ perspectives, aspirations, and initiative—not a minimum GPA or financial-need score.
Opening doors through scholarships
Our focus is awarding scholarships to eligible students pursuing four-year college or graduate education. We value each student’s aspirations, individuality, and initiative—and believe a cancer diagnosis should not define the future they are working toward.
Honoring each story
Students are more than their diagnoses. We are careful with what applicants share, and we seek separate permission before featuring a scholar’s photograph, medical information, or personal story.
Looking forward
As we develop the next chapter of the foundation, we hope to expand access to the scholarship, strengthen our applicant experience, and celebrate scholars for who they are and what they aspire to become.
